Check out his interview:
1. How did you first get into doing voice over as a profession?
I first had the thought in military police school. I had just performed in a high school play called the wedding singer. Most of my life people had told me to use my voice in some fashion for entertainment purposes. A year ago I was fully introduced to the idea of voice overs from someone who worked in a marketing department. I found out the market was huge and I had a place in it and Legendary Voiceprints was born.
2. What inspired you to choose Fiverr as a platform for offering your voice over services?
Fiverr unlike other options, allows you to immerse yourself in the market at no cost. It allows you to adjust pricing and services based on the laws of supply and demand. It really helps clarify the value of a voice over and it builds work experience.
3. What are some of the types of recordings you do or you’ve been hired to do?
My demos are mostly monologue pieces as of now. People have noticed and have hired me so far for explainer videos mostly. I have also done character acting for various school animations and business PSA’s as well.
4. In your opinion, what are some qualities that describes a good recording?
A good recording has a properly interpreted mood and voice. From there, a quiet room with properly adjusted gain is a necessity. Then normalization and equalization helps make raw audio into what you hear on fully finished, professional scripts. You can boost any frequency depending on the buyer’s needs.
5. Why do think businesses should consider you for their voice over projects?
While having a unique voice is important, it’s even more important that a customer is buying from a well-trained voice artist who understands that the customer comes first. Fair pricing and prompt, accurate delivery are extremely important. That is exactly what I offer as a voice actor.
Thanks, Nick.
